We are now accepting dontations to help our Ryde Dragon Boat Club members head to Penrith to compete at AusChamps.
AusChamps is Australia's premier Dragon Boating event in which clubs from all states compete against one another for the title
of National Champion. In April 2025, AusChamps will be held at the Sydney International Regatta Centre in Penrith NSW. The last time Penrith hosted AusChamps was back in 2013 and in 2025 Ryde DBC will mark its first time competing at this level in our home city.
Ryde DBC goal for this project is raise funds to subsidise the costs towards our members for Race Fees. As a club, we will be aiming to send upwards of 50 paddlers to compete across the 6 days of dragon boat racing, from Juniors, 24U and adults up to 70+.
Race Fees will cost roughly $18,000+ dollars to enter standard boats (20 paddlers) across three categories of Mixed, Women's and Opens for both the Senior (ages 40+) days and Premier (all ages) / Juniors (10-17 years) days.
Your donation to this project is tax deductible
The Australian Sports Foundation (ASF) is the only deductible gift recipient for sport in Australia. This means that donations of $2 or more to approved projects on our website are tax deductible. Shortly after making your donation, you'll receive an official receipt from the ASF that you can use in your income tax return. Sponsorship Options
If your company is interested in sponsoring a local club that is focussed on community engagement please do contact us for information on our spponsorship packages. We have a range of packages to promote your brand, product or service throughout our club and the wider conmmunity. Our packages range in value from "Friends of Ryders" $500 to "Platinum" $10,000. Packages can be tailered and can include items such as:
- a dragon boat experience
- your logo on our boats, covers and/or paddles, event shirts (eg. AusChamps 2025)
- communications to our members and wider community
