Ryde Dragon Boat Club (RDBC) is a not-for-profit community sports group, established in October 2021 and located at Kissing Point Wharf. We are dedicated to bringing the sport of Dragon Boating to the local community and providing a fun and inclusive environment for people of all ages to get fit and compete together.
Our Mission
To bring dragon boating to the local community and to become a leading club in developing, promoting and competing in the sport of dragon boat racing.
Come and paddle with us
Dragon Boating is open to everyone aged 10 years and over, with no previous experience required. Are you looking for a way to keep fit, have some fun and meet some new people? Dragon boating is the perfect sport for you.
We race crews in multiple age and gender divisions at regular regattas and offer 4 water and 1 land training sessions a week during the season (September - April) to build our crews strength.
We are excited to be building our junior and youth teams and developing the future of the sport and our club along with continuing to build and strengthen our premier and seniors teams.

Corporate Training and Team Building Opportunities
At Ryde Dragon Boat Club, we have four Dragon Boats NSW accredited coaches and six accredited sweeps. Between them, they have many years of experience as competitive dragon boat paddlers as well as running team building sessions and training successful corporate crews for the annual Lunar New Year Festival (LNY).
In the 2022/23 season we trained six crews for the LNY Festival in January 2023 and another crew for the inaugural Dragons on Darling Pride Festival in March 2023. Training packages are available for three to six sessions. We also take crews out for one off team building events.
Corporate Training and Team Building
Ryde Dragon Boat Club acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of Kissing Point Park, the Wallumedegal Clan of the Darug nation. We pay respect to Elders both past, present and emerging and extend that respect to other Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples visiting our training site.
